MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, Diploma Nursing, Allied Health Sciences (AHS) Degree / Diploma and M.Sc Degree Courses Admissions

Group A: Candidates should have been born on or before 31st December, 1996 (maximum age limit 40 years for AHS degree courses and 30 years for B.Sc Nursing and 35years for B.Sc Nursing SC/ST)
MBBS: A candidate for admission to medical course must have 60% marks at +2 level in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together) and have an aggregate of 140/200 in these subjects, both at qualifying and competitive examinations and should have passed in English (60% in each and 130/200 aggregate for BC; 55% in each and 120/200 aggregate for MBC; and 40% in each and 80/200 aggregate for SC/ST candidates)
B.Sc (Nursing): Candidates should have a pass with 45% aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)
Only unmarried women candidates are eligible to apply
BOT/BPT/B.Sc MLT/B.Sc Optometry/BMRSc (Medical Record)/B.Sc Audiology and Speech Language Pathology/B.Sc Critical Care Technology/B.Sc Dialysis Technology/B.Sc Nuclear Medical Technology: Candidates should have a pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
B.Sc Prosthetics and Orthotics: Candidates should have a pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics
B.Sc: Radiology and Imaging Technology, Radiotherapy Technology, Medical Sociology, Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion Care Technology, Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology, Neuro-electrophysiology, Emergency and Trauma Care Technology, Cardiac Technology: Candidates should have a pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Group B: Applicants have to be at least 17 years old and less than 45 years of age as on 31st December, 2013
Ability to handle English as a medium of learning is important for all courses
Diploma in Nursing: 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) securing pass with aggregate 40% marks

Fellowship in Hospital Admin: MBBS/BDS or a master’s degree in any discipline
PG Diploma in Clinical Pastoral Counseling: BTh or BD Degree of Serampore University or its recognized equivalent or any degree (B.A. or B.Sc or B.Com or BBA) with three years of involvement in some form of lay ministry of the Church (no age limit)
Fellowship in Analytical Clinical Pharmacology: M.Pharm (any discipline), M.Sc (Chemistry)
Diploma in Hospital Equipment Maintenance: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics)
Diploma in Hospital Pharmacy Practice: 2 year Diploma in Pharmacy (ER 1991) including 500 hours of Internship/practical training from institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India
PG Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy: B.Pharm from any recognized university preferably with 1st class
PG Diploma in Dietetics: B.Sc Home Science or B.Sc in Nutrition and Dietetics
M.Sc Epidemiology: MBBS/BDS/M.Pharm/M.Sc in Nursing/Biostatistics/ Statistics/ Nutrition/ Biochemistry/ Anatomy/Physiology/Pharmacology/Microbiology and other Medical related M.Sc/M.A. Social Work/Sociology/Anthropology Psychology/ Social Psychology/Health Education/BVSc/ BAMS/ BUMS/ BHMS/ BSMS/ MPT/MOT
M.Sc Biostatistics: B.Sc Statistics as main or B.Sc degree in any subject with Statistics as ancillary/allied

Selection Procedure: All candidates whose applications are in order and complete will be registered and will go through the competitive process of entrance examinations and interviews for selection
All admissions are based on inter-se merit
Hall Ticket: Hall tickets will be available on the website to download 15 days before the examination
Entrance Exam: The entrance examination for the Group A/B courses will be on 17th May, 2013, Friday at the following centres
Bangalore, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kottayam, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Puducherry, Salem, Thiruvananthapuram, Vellore, Vijayawada, Penang (Malaysia)
The Group A and Group B Science examination will consist of multiple choice questions in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Ability with emphasis on Speed and Accuracy and a few questions on issues of current topical interest
The examination will be conducted in English
At the time of the interviews for MBBS and B.Sc Nursing courses, Christian students who have applied under the sponsored category will be given a test on Bible Knowledge (50 multiple choice questions)
The general paper (Non Science) for Group-B will consist of multiple choice questions of a general nature, including very basic science, general knowledge, current awareness and general ability

Application Form: Candidates may apply online at the CMC website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 18th February, 2013 onward

The basic administrative fee of Rs 800/- and registration fees all UG degree courses Rs.500/- for each course, all AHS Diploma and Diploma Nursing courses Rs 100/- for each course and M.Sc Rs 500/- for each course, can be paid as a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India
A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form
Please mention FC-CMC-V on the challan

The fee can be paid by demand draft in favour of CMC Vellore Association a/c on any scheduled bank, payable in Vellore

Date of entrance exam: 17th May, 2013
